More than 2,200 people came to Indian River Mall on Feb. 25 to dance, enjoy watching others dance and check on their health at Indian River Medical Center’s first-ever Day of Dance® for Your Health event. Laura Olson, hospital hearing educator with the Florida Newborn Screening Program, Florida Department of Health, recently recognized Indian River Medical Center for its screening of newborns for hearing deficiencies. IRMC volunteers known as the Stork Club visit new moms, provide information for new parents, conduct hearing screenings, take baby photos, assist in discharges and more. Auxilian Pat Hahn chairs the group. Pat also provides monthly maternity tours for prospective moms and family members. READ MORE »
The Indian River Medical Center Auxiliary celebrated its diamond anniversary on March 9 in the hospital cafeteria, with volunteers hearing words of appreciation from local dignitaries followed by a reception with tasty dishes prepared by Food and Nutrition Services staff. READ MORE »
